Hendersonville’s first brewery is open for business.

Half Batch Brewing, Hendersonville’s first craft brewery, is open for business. Half Batch brews are currently available at several retailers in Sumner County, and the public room was opened to the public last weekend. The brewery and public room is located at 393 East Main Street, Suite 6A.

“We are so happy to finally get to the point of producing and selling beer, and to have the public room open. It’s great to connect with our customers, and our reception has been very positive so far,” said founder Nate Newton. “It’s been a long road to get here. We are focused on continuing to produce beer that meets our quality standards, and sharing that beer with more people in Middle Tennessee.”

Half Batch Brewing’s beers are currently available on draft only, and will be on tap in the Public Room at the brewery, and at restaurants, pubs, and growler filling stations throughout Sumner County. Customers can enjoy a beer in the taproom, or fill a ½ gallon growler to go. Current offerings include Half Batch’s three core beers (Two Foot Cream Ale, The Fulkin Scottish Ale, BS IPA), plus Fall seasonal Pepper Sprout. Pepper Sprout is a smoked porter with the addition of roasted jalapenos. Of course, Half Batch will be offering other specialty brews available only in the public room.

Half Batch plans to sign with a distributor soon, which will allow their products to be available at select retail locations throughout the Nashville area.

Current hours for the Half Batch public room are Thursdays from 4:00 to 8:00 pm, Fridays from 4:00 to 10:00 pm, and Saturdays from 2:00 to 8:00 pm.
