Einstök Icelandic White Ale

white-ale-jpgNot only do I recommend this beer, but tons of my friends have fallen in love with this full-flavored crisp white ale. Einstök Brewery is located just 60 miles south of the Artic circle in Akureyri, Iceland. They use the purest and freshest water from rain and prehistoric glaciers to brew all of their beer. The White Ale is a classic witbier brewed with wheat and pilsner malts with coriander and orange peel to give it the smooth unique taste. Skál! (Cheers in Icelandic.)

Blackberry Farm Tennessee Cream Ale

blackberryOne of the first of two beer to be brewed in Blackberry Farm’s Native Yeast Series. Native wild yeasts were harvested from the farm’s 4,200 acres at the edge of the Great Smoky Mountains in Tennessee with help from South Yeast Labs. The Tennessee Cream Ale is a light golden color, brewed flaked with corn and heirloom grits and fermented with a wild strain of yeast from the farm. The malty concoction has a smooth crisp tastes while the corn adds just a hint of sweetness to round out this native Tennessee beer.

Sonoma Cider The Anvil

ciderWait…What?! A cider?1? I know what you must be thinking, Lindsey has gone of the deep end on this one, but hold on a minute. I am not a fan of ciders because I think they are too sweet. However, The Anvil has barrel-proof bourbon flavor to knock out some of that sweetness. Also, Sonoma uses USDA organic apples. NO extra sugar added! Not only is this gluten free, but it also cuts out a ton of sugar compared to other ciders on the market. Go ahead and give it a try, I double dog dare ya!
