Big Green Memphis is accepting applications for their Learning Garden. The Big Green has built 122 Learning Gardens in Memphis and is giving the opportunity for schools to grow their own food and connect school communities to the real food movement.

The Learning Garden is an edible garden and an outdoor classroom in schools across the country. Each school and community has a unique, customized garden just for them. The Learning Garden transforms urban schoolyards into vibrant gathering places bursting with life. Each school will have landscape architects and Garden Educators to help design, plant, and harvest their gardens. Big Green is to help with education, thrive with nutritious foods and healthy habits.

No cost is associated with the Learning Garden and its affiliated garden based programming. A Garden Team will be developed from commited faculty and staff, support teachers in using the garden as an outdoor classroom.

Applications deadline is Friday, October 19th, 2018! They will be evaluated for the Spring 2019 or fall 2019 build.
