The Nashville Predators are in partnership with the Carolina Hurricanes, FOX Sports Tennessee, and FOX Sports Carolinas to work together to support relief efforts in North Carolina for those who have been impacted by Hurricane Florence. On Tuesday, September 25th, the first televised preseason game in franchise history will be held against the Hurricanes at Bridgestone Arena. The focus of the telecast will be on fundraising efforts through the duration of the game, starting at 6:30 CT for the 30 minute Predators Live pregame show presented by Ford.

All proceeds raised in partnership will be donated to the State of North Carolina Disaster Relief Fund and The Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina, the following ways to raise and collect money are as follow:

  • The Nashville Predators Foundation is hosting an online auction from Saturday, Sept. 22 to Tuesday, Sept. 25 and will feature memorabilia items and fan experiences from the Hurricanes, Preds and FOX Sports. Fans can text RELIEF to “52182” to contribute.
  • Preds Season-Ticket Citizens have been encouraged to return unused tickets from the Sept. 25 game back to the team to re-sell, with 100 percent of those proceeds benefiting relief efforts.
  • The Hurricanes are hosting a supplies drive that will continue through Saturday, Sept. 22 at 5 p.m. with item donations being accepted at the PNC Arena box office.
  • Carolina is also offering a limited number of $40 Lower Bowl tickets to their regular season home games on Oct. 7 (vs. NY Rangers) and Oct. 9 (vs. Vancouver Canucks).

Tripp Tracy from Fox Sports Carolinas and Chris Mason from FOX Sports Tennessee will join together to discuss relief efforts during the second period and preview the upcoming NHL season. Both telecasts will reduce commercial time to allow more talk about relief efforts and fundraising opportunities.

FOX Sports Tennessee’s telecast will include play-by-play announcer Willy Daunic (@WillyD1025), analyst Chris Mason (@cmace30) and reporter Kara Hammer (@KaraHammer), along with intermission reports from Lyndsay Rowley (@LyndsayRowley) and Terry Crisp (@ZenofTerryCrisp).
