Longmont, CO–Oskar Blues announces the return of their Ten Fidy Imperial Stout.

Oskar Blues Brewery was founded over 20 years ago in Lyons, Colorado, and launched one of their most renown beers, Dale’s Pale Ale, which is the nation’s #2 top-selling craft can six-pack in the United States market. Today, they operate in Colorado, North Carolina, and Texas supplying more than 200,000 barrels per year to all 50 U.S. States, Washington D.C., and parts of 17 other countries.

The supermassive return of “Ten Fidy Imperial Stout” brings a burly, dark malt that includes caramel and Munich malt along with fluffy oats. It consists of flavors of chocolate-covered caramel, espresso, black licorice, and plum. This beer is described as “Beer, only better and darker,” and it results with a 10.5% ABV to go with it.

The background behind “Ten Fidy” was approached by beer’s leading expert, Randy Bayless. He applied at Oskar Blues in 2010 and eight years later, operates the Brevard, North Carolina, brewery. Bayless describes Fidy as, “One of those old-school black velvet paintings. The malt is a velvet canvas with deep, dark chocolate and coffee flavors painted across it to depict what the Big Bang probably looked like (obviously, so freaking rad that you can’t look at it without weeping and having a psychedelic experience). With an ornate stone-fruit frame, it’s a damn masterpiece.”

The release event will be held on August 31st, and for the first time ever, Fidy flights will be available in barrel-aged varieties such as: JAHvanilla Barrled Aged Ten Fidy, Vanilla and Sugar Maple Wood Aged Ten Fidy, Tennessee Whiskey Barrel-aged Ten Fidy, & vintage variants from as far back as 2010. Flight options vary upon taproom location.
