Do you enjoy hiking/rucking and craft beer? The Rugged Ruckers, Chattanooga’s official GORUCK ruck club is hosting the Chattanooga Brew Ruck Challenge (CBRC) on December 1st for participants who are ready to take on the challenge.

The CBRC is a 21 and older event consisting of rucking (aka: hiking with weight) to several of the breweries around Chattanooga. A 2 or 4-person team is required to race the clock before the cutoff time. Your team should be those who enjoy rucking/hiking and physical challenges, has orienteering/map reading skills, wants to see Chattanooga, and someone who enjoys craft beer. Your team makes the decision on what breweries you go to and how long you stay before the time runs out.

What all do you have to do for the challenge? It’s a team effort. All teams show up to The Tap House. The doors open at 10am, and a mandatory meeting is held at 10:30am inside. Each team will be instructed with a set of rules, a list of breweries, “special task” locations, and specific hashtags that will be needed with your selfie photos on Instagram. The minimum distance will be 11 miles. Your team and yourself will make the proper route for each brewery and secret tasks. For the rucking, men will be required to carry 30lbs and women 20lbs, not including water and food. Rucks will be weighed at the start and finish.

A 2-person team is $20, 4-person team is $30.

Final registration ends November 25 at 11:59PM.
