First weekend of October has arrived in Tennessee. Do you have any plans for the weekend? Here are some Oktoberfest events happening across the state.

Ober at Gatlinburg Oktoberfest-Gatlinburg, TN September 21 to Oct. 28, 2018

A festival will be held for Ober Gatlinburg, a Bavarian-style with food such as traditional German wurst, schnitzel, sauerkraut, strudel, pretzels and more, folk dances, schuhplatting, oompah music, sing-a-longs, and yodels.

Blackstone Brewery Hosting Oktoberfest-Nashville, TN October 6

Join for Nashville Brewing Company’s annual Oktoberfest at Blackstone’s taproom. Dress in your best lederhosen or dirndel for the festivities. There will be plenty of traditional German food, music, games, and of course, beer! Nashville Brewing Company returns again with their Festbier and Helles Lager, as well as, your personal favorites from Blackstone Brewing. The location: 2312 Clifton Ave, Nashville, TN, 37290 All begins at 4pm.

Clarksville Oktoberfest at the Downtown Commons-Clarksville, TN October 6

The first Oktoberfest is being hosted by the Bikers Who Care Organization. The admission is $5 for ages 10+, and under 10 free! Enjoy the festivities on beers, food, plus competitions such as a stein competition, brat eating contest, weiner race will be held throughout the whole day. Times will be from 2-10pm!

Crosstoberfest-Memphis, TN Saturday, October 6

Celebrate Oktoberfest at Crosstoberfest at Crosstown Brewing Co.! Crosstown Brewing will be selling beer for $5, including their special Oktoberfest beer and there will be plenty of food options. Enjoy live music by Chinese Connection Dub Embassy, The Oompahsters, James and the Ultrasounds, and Objekt12. Plus, there will be family games, face painting, a photo booth, spin art, a caricature artist, and more. The festivities will be held from 2pm-7pm

5th Annual Oktoberfest in Ooltewah-Ooltewah TN Saturday, October 6

Brats, beer, shopping, and music will be right here in Ooltewah on Saturday, October 6th at Cambridge Square from 12pm-5:00 p.m. Oktoberfest in Ooltewah is organized to bring fun traditions alive in the 37363 area code.

Rocktoberfest at Rock City-Lookout Mountain, GA October 6th and 7th
The region’s longest running Oktoberfest celebration begins Saturday, Oct. 6 through Sunday, Oct. 28 at Rock City Gardens! The 13th annual German -themed harvest festival, Rocktoberfest, offers a variety of entertainment and delicious food from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
every Saturday and Sunday.
Rock City’s German heritage comes alive with music from The Wurstbrats, The Musik Meisters and The Best Wurst Band, as well as dance performances and polka lessons for guests! Take a guided tour of the gardens during peak fall foliage at 9 a.m., 12 p.m. or 3 p.m. and learn about the attraction’s founder, Frieda Utermoehlen Carter, and her love of German folklore and fairytales. Stop by the pavilion for specialty German food such as grilled bratwursts, sauerkraut, beer cheese soup, or dine at Café 7 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and have some Weiner Schnitzel or apple crisp with Clumpies vanilla ice cream.
Be sure to visit the Fudge Kitchen for seasonal pumpkin spice fudge. Rocktoberfest hosts one-of-a-kind characters to meet along the way including the fall fairy, Ik the Troll King, a mime and Rocky the Elf! Kids also receive an adventure passport from a scarecrow upon entering the park! The passport features activities, coupons and pages for children to collect stamps during their visits throughout the year. A must-see at the festival are Birds of Prey Shows at 11 a.m., 1 p.m., 3 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. Other special offerings include pumpkin painting, interactive caricatures and geode digs!
